Pregnancy Outfit’s
When I found out I was pregnant I knew I didn’t want to invest much into pregnancy specific clothing. I am a stay at home wife and I didn’t see much need to spend my money in this way. I did however want to get clothes that I knew could serve me in the postpartum stage as well.
I decided to only get one maternity specific outfit and all the other outfits I got are normal clothes I sized up in and knew I would feel good in postpartum.
Lounge wear was my main priority in this, but I did get a couple dresses to have simple outfits to put on that made me look put together with zero effort.
Using what I already have
I did an inventory of what I already had and my sweatpants was something I knew I could fit into no matter what size I was. As I’ve gotten bigger, I wear them lower and just tie them up. This has worked great!
I also knew I had plenty of oversized t-shirts that would work perfectly for my growing belly.
Lastly, I knew the long flowy dresses I had were going to work great for my growing belly.
Saving where I can
I have gone to the thrift store to get a few articles of clothing because it’s affordable and will be able to serve me in this season. I also have found a few dresses that I have loved while pregnant and will love afterwards as well.

Maternity specific clothing
I decided with being due late summer that I wanted to have a pair of biker shorts I could wear during the summer. This is because all last year that was basically my day to day outfit of choice. You could catch me in an oversized t-shirt and biker shorts most days. So, knowing this I wanted to make sure I had something comfortable to wear on the hotter days especially since I knew I would be bigger in the warmer months.
Click here to check out the biker shorts I got. I’ve been loving them so far! They feel smooth and not tight at all. They are extremely confutable for my growing belly and have been a great option for all of my different belly sizes I’ve been.
Lounge wear
I got a few different lounge wear pieces to wear as pregnancy clothes, but also for postpartum. I sized up a size or two and have been wearing them lower on my stomach as I’ve grown. I did have a phase where anything on my belly hurt and I did not wear pants as often in that phase. Once that was over I have been loving wearing these and have not had any issues.
Set 1
The first set is a green knit set, they also have different colors. Click here to check it out. This is by far my favorite set. The elastic band is thick and I find that it doesn’t dig in at all. Some of the others feel tighter or dig in a little, but these don’t.
This set has been comfortable in all my different phase of pregnancy. As my belly has grown my belly has started to stick out because the top is not long. I started to wear it with a flannel half way buttoned or with a different shirt completely. The pants are my go to pants to reach for in the morning.
Set 2
I ordered a brown button up set that I love the look of. Click here to check it out. This also has different colors. I have been in love with this set for wearing at home and feeling put together.
It does have a smaller elastic band so I would size up bigger to keep it comfortable. I also have worn it lower on my hips as I’ve grown and that has worked great! It’s comfortable to wear and I love the color.
Dresses
If I find an outfit I like I typically buy it in another color if possible. I have been debating on it with my lounge sets as well and think I have finally caved and will be buying both in different colors. I want to have some clothes that are cute and comfortable for my hospital visit and photos so I will be buying the green set in the color Desert Grey and the brown set in the color Beige, but they both have many cute others to choose from!
I do this because I know it works well and I like how it fits. So, I can’t resist getting it in more colors that I like haha. So this dress is no different, as I have it in 2 different colors.
Click here to check out the dress I purchased. I am involve with this dress. It is soft and comfortable to wear and super flattering. One thing to note is the stitching is a bit fragile.
I first got this dress in their “brown color” it’s defiantly more of a maroon. I fell in love with it and had to have another color. So I ordered the apricot color and love this cream color as well. Click here to check out the cream color.
Wear what you feel comfortable in
By no means did I need to spend any money on new outfits with my lifestyle. I did however, because I knew in the postpartum phase I would want clothes that fit that body well and made me feel effortlessly out together. I knew it would be important to have comfortable and cute clothes that I was not trying to squeeze into.
